Private Chefs Get Digital Boost from At-Sunrice

We announced to our Private Chef graduates today about a partnership we signed with AI-driven food and travel platform, Esseplore.

Together with Esseplore, we are the first to offer private chefs a structured pathway to start, grow and digitally accelerate their business. The Academy’s role will be to train and certify private chefs, while Esseplore will onboard At-Sunrice certified private chefs onto its digital platform so customers can order their home-based creations or book them for private events.

As part of the partnership, At-Sunrice and Esseplore are offering 5 scholarships for the Specialist Diploma in Food Entrepreneurship for Private Chefs to conceptualise and launch their business.

Multi Award-Winning Chef Louis Tay

We warmly welcome multi award-winning chef, Chef Louis Tay to our Private Chef: Sunday Edition Programme!

 

Chef Louis has an impressive resume with an extensive list of prestigious awards from numerous local and international culinary competitions. In 2016, he was part of the team which took home the first-ever overall Olympic Gold for Singapore in the IKA Culinary Olympics, beating out teams from 29 countries. This win also made history in IKA Culinary Olympics as the Singapore team was the first Asian team to win the gold medal in both Hot Cooking and Cold Display categories.

 

He has also led the Singapore national team in winning the Champion title in the Expogast Culinary World Cup held in Luxembourg in 1998 and 2014. His experience has led to his appointment in the Competition Committee and the National Team Coach of Singapore Chef’s Association, as well as his accreditation as Judge A of the World Association of Chef Societies, and to be a part of the judging panel of many culinary competitions around the world.

 

With more than 38 years of experience, Chef Louis has accumulated a wealth of culinary knowledge and experience, earning him the reputation of being one of the finest chefs in Singapore. His work in the kitchens from various renowned hotels including Westin Stamford & Westin Plaza, Raffles Hotel, The Fullerton Hotel, The Tanglin Club and Swissôtel Merchant Court, has also led to his award of the Halton Executive Chef of the Year in the World Gourmet Summit Award of Excellence 2018.

 

Known for his inventive cooking style that incorporates new flavour compositions and creative use of new techniques, Chef Louis is passionate about nurturing the future chefs, helping them develop skills and techniques and inspiring them to seek the same level of perfection he goes after every single time.

This week, we welcome Chef Lennard Yeong to At-Sunrice

Chef Lennard Yeong is an engineer turned chef and was inspired to create unique dishes by watching YouTube and reading cookbooks.

Lennard is a self-taught chef – in 2015 he was among the finalists of the first edition of MasterChef Asia, and today he is one of the most promising chefs in Singapore. Since 2018, he works as an in-house chef for the brand Miele in Singapore, where he holds cooking classes and develops new recipes.

He will be sharing healthy cooking techniques to over 200 students At-Sunrice. We look forward to having him at our Globalchef Academy!
